Applications

Widely used in automotive lighting,
computer displays,
camera lenses,
mobile phone components,
and other transparent parts and optical equipment components.

Characteristics

- Special smelting process ensures high purity and uniform, dense structure with superior mirror polishing properties
- Excellent EDM performance: The dense and smooth machined surface can replace pear skin texturing; hardness doesn’t increase during machining, resulting in high processing efficiency
- Superior welding properties
- Raw material hardness of 36-45 HRC requires no heat treatment, allowing direct mold manufacturing

• Machines 10 to 15 percent faster than P20
• Pre-hardened to 38-42 HRC
• Uniform microstructure & hardness (40 HRC between surface & interior)
• Never needs stress relieving
• Highly weldable, HAZ gets softer not harder (re-age harden to bring back to 40 HRC)
• EDM layer is easy to remove
