SPOKANE (Scrap Monster): Illinois congressmen Mike Bost and Rodney Davis were presented the ‘2015 Congressional Steel Champion Award’ by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). The awards are in recognition of their efforts to uplift the American steel industry and its workers. Mario Longhi, President and CEO, United States Steel Corporation and Thomas J. Gibson, President and CEO, AISI presented the award to the lawmakers.

Meantime, the legislation to raise antidumping and countervailing duties on steel products imports into the country was signed into law by President Obama on June 29th.
