Manufacturing
Forged rolls are manufactured at our plants in the China. We also provide customers with re-hardening and re-cutting service and support.
With FUSHUN extensive knowledge and experience of manufacturing forged work rolls, we can assist clients in selecting the grades and parameters that will assure optimal performance in their mill operations.
Process
Product design → Smelting (EF + ESR) → Forging → (Normalizing) → Spheroidizing and hydrogen annealing → Rough turning of the roll surface (cut test block) → Inspection (UT, macroscopic, microscopic, dimensions, appearance) → Storage and material requisition → Rough machining → Ultrasonic testing → Quenching and tempering treatment → Hardness inspection → Semi-finish machining → Roll neck surface and thrust end surface quenching and tempering → Roll neck hardness inspection → Semi-finish machining → Ultrasonic testing → Roll body surface quenching (+ cold treatment + low-temperature tempering) → Roll body hardness inspection → Finish machining → Inspection → Storage → Rust prevention and packaging → Transportation
Advantages
- ESR steel ingots have high purity.
- Heat treatment is good, and hardness is uniform.
- Machining dimensions are precise.
- No burn issues caused by grinding.
